The organization

The children stand on a dot.
Arie the Monkey stands on the opposite side with his nose against the wall.

Points of interest

  • Make sure there is enough space between the dots
  • Do not make the distance between Arie the Monkey and the dots too large
  • Runners’ dots must have space behind them (to run out)

The exercise

The children sing: Monkey, Monkey what time is it?
When Arie says: it is 4 o’clock….
then the children take 4 steps toward Arie.
This is repeated over and over, until Arie answers: time to eat! Then everyone has to run back to the dot, because Arie is trying to tap the children.

Who manages to stay out of Arie’s hands?
