Activity 1
Ringmicking
Instructional video
Organization
The children stand behind their hoop and must also throw from this position
Points of interest
- The children may not defend upcoming balls
- Both underhand and overhand may be thrown
Exercise
The children play this game 1 on 1 and both stand behind the hoop. From this position they aim into the opponent’s hoop. If they hit the edge of the hoop they get 1 point, if they aim without hitting the edge (ringless) they get 2 points. The ball must not bounce before it hits the hoop.
First you practice and after this a match can be played for real points. After, say, 2 minutes you switch opponents.
Adjustment: increasing/decreasing hoop spacing
Plan

General (by organization)
- Participants – min. 6 / max. 12
- Dimension – distance to start (3 meters)
Material
- Hoop 12x
- Ball 6x
Activity 2
Sharpshooters
Instructional video
Organization
The group is divided into teams. Each team stands behind the pitching line.
Points of interest
- The children may not defend upcoming balls
- There may be thrown with the underhand and overhand throw
- A ball lying in the field of play may be caught from one’s own half, but may only be thrown again from behind the throwing line.
Exercise
The children play this game in two teams against each other, standing behind the buckets. From this position they aim at the opponent’s other buckets. The points only count when the ball hits the bucket directly. The bucket may be picked up by the “sharpshooter” and placed on the own line.
Play stops when one team has all of its opponent’s buckets on its own line.
Adjustment: increasing/decreasing the distance
Plan

General (by organization)
- Participants – min. 6 / max. 12
- Dimension – distance to start (4 meters)
Material
- Bucket 8 to 12x
- Cap 4x
- Ball 6x
