JBH and the municipality
Municipalities are increasingly embracing the exercise intervention of Jonge Beweeghelden, in which child care organizations use grant funds for a structural exercise program.
The community sports coach plays an important role in embedding multifaceted movement within childcare. Trained by Jonge Beweeghelden, he informs and supports the childcare organization, provides team training and helps with implementation.
The teaching assistant (pm-er) is trained incrementally:
- The community sports coach demonstrates a good practice; the pm-er looks on.
- Together they offer exercise activities.
- The pm-er leads the group herself, with evaluation afterwards.
The community sports coach maintains contact with the child care organization and offers adjustments as needed.

Together for Active Child Care
An increasing number of municipalities are embracing the recognized exercise intervention of Young Exercise Heroes, allowing child care organizations to use grant funds to structurally incorporate the program into their offerings.
The community sports coach plays a crucial role in this as a link between Young Move Heroes and the childcare facility. As ambassador of our program, he informs and convinces the childcare organization, provides team trainings and supervises the implementation of the exercise program.
Training pedagogical staff (pm’ers) involves three steps:
1. Observe: The community sports coach gives a demonstration, with the pm’er watching.
2. Working together: The community sports coach and the pm’er offer exercise activities together for the children.
3. Acting independently: The pm’er independently supervises the group while the community sports coach watches and provides feedback.
The community sports coach remains involved with the childcare organization and provides support as needed, ensuring structural and multifaceted physical activity.
